The Tesla brand is a tech lovers dream come true, these rolling computers combine advanced technology and modern vehicle manufacturing to create a beautiful machine. Many Tesla owners acquire these cars knowing this will be a car they keep for the long term, I mean who wouldn't! The all electric design lends itself to the perfect Daily Driver, so many Tesla owners all over the country seek Protection Services to ensure their vehicles stay looking new!

The Owner of this 2017 Tesla Model X explained his concerns, needs, and wants, and we came up with a service that would best suit his vehicle and its lifestyle. The primary concern of this owner was the minor rock chips that had already accumulated over the past year of ownership and he felt the paint had lost it's original "glow". We decided Paint Protection Film on the Front Impact Areas of the vehicle ie. Hood, Bumper, Fenders, and Mirrors combined with a Ceramic Coating would best suit this clients needs!

We started this Tesla project with a multiple step chemical and mechanical decontamination to remove any iron particles, fallout, and embedded contaminants from the vehicles surfaces. This process begins with a Pre Soak and Hand Wash Process to provide an initial cleaning and debris removal. The vehicle then undergoes an Iron Deposit Removal Treatment using CarPro Iron-X, Iron particles from railways during transportation or vehicles brake pads fly through the air and attach themselves to various parts of the vehicle. When these are left to sit they form small rust specs in the paintwork which are commonly seen on white vehicles as orange specs. Once this process is complete we then Mechanically Decontaminate the vehicle using a NanoSkin Clay Disk and Clay Lubricant, this removes fallout and embedded contaminants to "exfoliate" the paintwork prior to machine polishing. The vehicle is then brought inside and all trim and delicate areas are masked off for safety.

We then perform multiple test sections where we find our process of machine speed, compounding/polishing pad pressure, arm speed, and number of passes required for desired defect removal. In this case, we found a 2 Stage Paint Correction using Griots Compound paired with Microfiber Cutting Disks and Sonax Finishing Polish paired with Rupes Yellow Foam Pads gave us the best defect removal and paintwork clarity possible.

Now that the vehicle has been safely machine polished to perfection using our Italian made Rupes Bigfoot Machine Polishers we pull the vehicle back outside for another Safe Hand Wash Process to prepare for the Protection Services. When performing Paint Protection Film as well as Ceramic Coatings it is imperative that the surface is completely clean of all dust, polishing reside, and old wax residue left behind by past detailers. After the Hand Wash we use CarPro Eraser for this exact purpose, Eraser removes all polishing residue from the surface to reveal a completely bare paint surface ready to accept protection.

Our Full Front End Package Paint Protection Film was applied to the Tesla Model X to protect the forward facing impact areas of the vehicle. We use STEK DYNOshield Paint Protection Film (PPF), this is a 10 Year Warranty 8mils Thick TPU Protection Film with a ceramic coating infused into the self-healing top coat during manufacturing. STEK DynoShield utilize a unique self-healing top clear coat that has less orange peel than competitors, which helps achieve an undetectable difference between your vehicles factory paint and the film itself. The top coat also prevents discolouring due to contamination and exposure to ultraviolet radiation. The self-healing characteristics mean swirl marks and light scratches that occur on the film due to improper washing techniques or daily wear and tear will heal when exposed to heat leaving the film looking brand new. STEK HYDROphobe® nano-glass top coat is bonded to the film at a molecular level during manufacturing virtually eliminating the need for waxes or after-market top coatings, creating advanced water repelling properties.

We employ a combination of modified computer-cut patterns and bulk installation techniques to achieve the finish we desire. Bulk installation is the process of taking a bulk sheet of material and manually stretching and trimming for a true custom installation, this is especially beneficial on hoods and fenders where we are able to make the film virtually undetectable with minimal edges shown. We go to great lengths to make sure we provide the best installations in our area. As shown on this Tesla Model X, we removed the side cameras, this allowed us to clean in the recess ensuring no debris dropped into the film during installation as well as allowed us to trim the film right to the camera hole. Once the camera is reinstalled after Paint Protection Film installation you will never know the film is there, that's how we like it!

After our STEK Paint Protection Film installation is complete and has gone through many Quality Control procedures to ensure the quality meets our standards we then move on the final stage of Paint Protection, in the form of our top of the line CQuartz Professional Ceramic Coating. CQuartz Professional Carries a very humble 2 Year Warranty. CQuartz Professional harnesses the power of advanced nanotechnology.  Each silica (quartz) atom has multiple fluorocarbon molecular bonds, which create a high-density 3D structural coating matrix.  Once bonded to the surface of your paint, and cured, CQuartz Professional forms a dense, durable coating that protects the paint and retains a high gloss for years to come! The benefits of CQuartz Professional in our eyes is the extremely deep gloss, self cleaning properties, and chemical resistance that it provides.

As our specialty is generally protecting brand new vehicles it is nice to break away from the norm and work on a vehicle that has been used and is in need of some reconditioning before we perform our Protection Services.

When it comes to keeping your car looking sharp and well-maintained, the right Paint Protection Film (PPF) can make all the difference. Think of PPF as the wardrobe choice for your car: do you want it to shine like a polished dress shoe, or would you prefer a sleek and understated vibe like a pair of cool sneakers? Driving your daily car can sometimes feel like a never-ending battle against the elements. From road debris and rock chips to bird droppings, UV rays, and harsh weather conditions, keeping your vehicle’s paint looking pristine is no easy task. Fortunately, Paint Protection Film (PPF) has emerged as a reliable solution to shield your car from these threats. But is it really worth the cost for your daily driver? In this blog, we’ll dive into the benefits, cost comparisons, installation process, and maintenance tips of PPF, so you can decide if it’s the right investment for your everyday ride. What Is Paint Protection Film (PPF)? Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a transparent, durable film designed to protect a vehicle’s paint from physical damage like scratches, rock chips, and other abrasions. Made from urethane, a highly flexible and resilient material, PPF works like a shield, absorbing impacts and protecting the paint underneath. The film is self-healing, which means that minor scratches or swirl marks vanish when exposed to heat, whether from sunlight or hot water. In essence, PPF acts as a "bodyguard" for your vehicle, offering long-lasting protection against the harsh elements that constantly threaten your car’s finish.
