With more and more Tesla Model 3's being on the road and in consumers hands since the release of the Standard Range Model, we have seen an increase in inquiries about Paint Issues, Manufacturing Issues, and Protection Options. Let's start off by saying it is not uncommon to find many factory issues in your new Tesla's paint, defects such as paint chips, etchings, dirt nibs, burn spots, and sanding marks are all common things.. unfortunately. Combined with Tesla using an environmentally friendly paint system which is more susceptible to damage than older paint systems. This Tesla Model 3 had 1,500 miles, it required a few hours of machine polishing to remove bug staining and had already accumulated a number of paint chips.

Our customer wanted to prevent further damage from occurring during its frequent daily driving. After some research and viewing of our competitors installation quality our customer decided on us and STEK DYNOshield to be installed on his vehicle! This Tesla Model 3 received our Drivers Package Paint Protection Film. Our Drivers Package is our most popular package that protects all of the high impact areas on a car. By applying Paint Protection Film to the Full Front end of the vehicle and adding the rocker panels and rear wheel impact areas, the vehicle is now covered from rocks and rubber that may be thrown up by its own tires during a spirited driving session or track day. This package is tailored for sports/exotic car protection. This package gives the enthusiast a worry-free driving experience on the road or on the track.

- Full Hood

- Full Fenders

- Mirrors

- Headlights and Foglights

- Rocker Panels

We start the Paint Protection Film install by removing the Tesla "T" crest on the Hood so we can seamlessly wrap the hood without a seam around the emblem. The "T" is then replaced with an OEM part from Tesla and reinstalled using a 3D Printed Alignment Tool. The Hood is Protected in a Bulk Sheet of DYNOshield for a true custom cut install that is wrapped over every edge so it is protected without seeing it!

The Fenders on the Model 3 are installed utilizing a Modified Computer Cut Pattern, we modify these patterns in house to fit our installation style and standards. This Patterns allow us to line up key components that cannot be wrapped without major disassembly like around the headlights, but gives us enough film to wrap and tuck into all exterior edges for further protection and undetectable installation!

When it comes to keeping your car looking sharp and well-maintained, the right Paint Protection Film (PPF) can make all the difference. As a car owner, you’ve probably wondered: Should I choose a glossy finish or stick with a matte one? This decision ties into your personal style and the message you want your vehicle to convey. There are a number of factors at play—from aesthetic preferences to practical considerations. Think of PPF as the wardrobe choice for your car: do you want it to shine like a polished dress shoe, or would you prefer a sleek and understated vibe like a pair of cool sneakers? Glossy finishes reflect light beautifully, making colors pop, while matte finishes lend a sophisticated edge that hides imperfections. Both finishes have their perks, and I’ve seen them in action on various vehicles. Trust me—each finish brings out unique aspects of any car. Let’s dive into the details of both gloss and matte PPF, so you can make an informed decision for your car’s look and protection.

Driving your daily car can sometimes feel like a never-ending battle against the elements. From road debris and rock chips to bird droppings, UV rays, and harsh weather conditions, keeping your vehicle’s paint looking pristine is no easy task. Fortunately, Paint Protection Film (PPF) has emerged as a reliable solution to shield your car from these threats. But is it really worth the cost for your daily driver? In this blog, we’ll dive into the benefits, cost comparisons, installation process, and maintenance tips of PPF, so you can decide if it’s the right investment for your everyday ride. What Is Paint Protection Film (PPF)? Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a transparent, durable film designed to protect a vehicle’s paint from physical damage like scratches, rock chips, and other abrasions. Made from urethane, a highly flexible and resilient material, PPF works like a shield, absorbing impacts and protecting the paint underneath. The film is self-healing, which means that minor scratches or swirl marks vanish when exposed to heat, whether from sunlight or hot water. In essence, PPF acts as a "bodyguard" for your vehicle, offering long-lasting protection against the harsh elements that constantly threaten your car’s finish.
